Peace Mumbai, a loose network of individuals, organisations and networks working on peace and security issues concerning South Asia, since 2005, is organising a workshop on Af-Pak Policy and its implications on the region. The workshop is planned for 2 days (14th-15th Nov) for activists’ and researcher’s interested and working around these areas.
The objective behind this workshop is to understand the following:
1. The Af-Pak Policy, before and after Barrack Obama
2. The implications of foreign intervention in South Asia
3. Issues of governance, laws and gender in the conflict areas
4. Debate around Islamophobia
The workshop will have 4 sessions around the 4 themes mentioned above. Each theme will be introduced, initiated and dealt by 4 key speakers, namely, Seema Mustafa, Kumar Ketkar, Anuradha Chenoy and Asghar Ali Engineer.
We would like to invite interested and committed activists’ and researchers for this workshop. Attendance on both the days is compulsory. Accommodation will be made available, on request and free of charge, for a few participants coming from outside Mumbai.
